Brief Project Summary:

Past studies have shown a differential dependency for growth of soybean varieties on vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi. VAM fungi have been implicated in SCN infections and IDC severity. This is the final year of a project designed to determine the interactive effects of SCN population densities, VAM fungal densities and iron-deficiency chlorosis (IDC) severity on soybean nutrient uptake and growth. The outcome of the research will increase management options for reducing the effects of IDC and SCN on soybean yields.
