Gaining a greater understanding of insect complexes will enable specialists to develop better guidelines for treating insect populations. This project will focus on evaluating the efficacy of new and current insecticides for control of soybean arthropod pests; defining economic injury levels and economic thresholds for redbanded stink bug in soybean based on yield and quality at different planting dates; determining the upper and lower development thresholds and super cooling points for Louisiana soybean stink bug complex; and monitoring soybean looper populations throughout Louisiana for resistance to Intrepid 2F and cross resistance to alternate chemistries.
