The increased use of glyphosate in crop production has increased selection pressure on weed populations to create individual weeds that may be more tolerant to the herbicide. Research is needed to assure the longevity of the technology by alerting producers to potential resistance problems and to identify effective alternative control measures to species determined to be resistant.
The research also focuses on conservation tillage stale seedbed systems that are playing a major role in soybean production in Northeast Louisiana.
