Final Project Results

Project 24-102-D-B-1-A helped launched a national retail campaign for DEWALT soy-based bar&chain oil as well as help commercialize 6 new soy-based products under various Stanley Black&Decker brand names. These include Mac Tools multiuse oil, Dewalt multiuse oil, Dewalt leather conditioner, Dewalt trimmer oil and Craftsman bar&chain oil.

Benefit To Soybean Farmers

Project 24-102-D-B-1-A contributed to over 60K gallons of soybean oil purchased and the production of >400K units of bar&chain soy-based oil that became the #2 product (in the category) on Amazon and best seller in a major national retailer. We proudly display the soybean oil in national marketing and on the packaging so that consumers know these products come from American farmers. This project has laid the groundwork to help make soybean oil the new standard for total loss lubricants in the US, no longer the exception. The project has helped attract other large OEMs that are interested in switching from petroleum to soy and we believe this trend will continue and pick up steam. Thank you, farmers, for entrusting your hard work into our platform and letting us represent you to a nation of new consumers that want to change their oil.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
