Brief Project Summary:
The United Soybean Board has been approached by the New York Fire Department for help to develop a training foam that is safe and biodegradable. After use of the training foam, the FDNY would like to hose the foam into the drain. Early work by CPS indicate that they can accomplish a training foam with soy. CPS has met all of the goals for use as a true fire suppression foam with the exception of Underwriters Laboratories 162 test. This is a foam repair test on a burning vat of oil. This project will create a training foam and investigate meeting the final test for commercialization.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
