Final Project Results

This investment began the process of defining the sustainability of U.S. soybeans and soybean meal in a more specific way than has been conducted previously. It made good progress, conducting a comprehensive literature search involving articles with LCA determination of soybeans and soybean meal; obtaining access to soybean and soybean meal databases with existing LCA of feed ingredients; and comprehensive literature searches into the contribution of soybean and soybean meal to environmental impacts of broilers, layer and swine diets.

Benefit To Soybean Farmers

If U.S. soybean farmers can define the life-cycle analyses for U.S. soybeans and U.S. soybean meal, we are better positioned to meet customers' sustainability goals.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
