The Graduate Student Soybean Research Support Program will provide graduate students with funding for specific soybean research projects. Graduate students advised by faculty in the OSU Soybean Research Center will be eligible to write and submit grant proposals for up to $10,000. Successful research projects are expected to ‘drive innovation.’ Funded students will be required to disseminate their results in professional society or extension meeting(s); thereby, contributing to ‘build understanding’. The program will give students experience in grant writing and data presentation to support their professional development, and funds to conduct the research required for their degree programs. This will help to train the next generation of soybean researchers, and support research programs of faculty in the OSU Soybean Research Center. 1) Training the next generation of soybean researchers2) Supporting OSU soybean research programs3) Disseminating results from checkoff-funded research
