Update:
A core aspect of BioCro, which lacked the necessary flexibility to adequately represent nitrogen uptake and distribution and properly couple BioCro to the other models, was augmented to allow those changes. With this in place, we can being work writing the nitrogen uptake and distribution model, and coupling BioCro, which is a crop growth model, to gene-regulatory network and metabolite concentration models. Together, these will allow one to model crop growth over a season, predicting seed protein concentration and linking those concentrations to specific genes.

Final Project Results

Benefit To Soybean Farmers

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
