Brief Project Summary:

There are three objectives addressed: Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN), Soybean Fertility and a Soybean IPM Survey. Our SCN educational efforts are enhanced through cooperation on varietal evaluation. Plots demonstrate management options of varietal selection, importance of surveillance, and assessing other management tactics (e.g., seed treatment co-located studies). Variety evaluation trials promote understanding by growers the role of SCN-resistant soybean, provide context for performance by using infested sites, illustrate the importance of SCN population suppression as a component of resistance management, and serve as a screening site for UMN resistant genetics for the northern production...
