This project evaluates various fungicide spray programs in small-plot experiments at research stations and in grower fields. Research collects more consistent results more often from large-scale strip tests conducted at Auburn University research stations. In this situation, we have some control over field variability, experimental methods used and replication of treatments. To determine the benefits of fungicide applications to reduce disease severity and increase crop yield on soybeans in Alabama, this research conducts 5 to 6 large-scale fungicide trials at research stations in the state. Disease severity of fungal foliar diseases will be monitored periodically and yield and seed quality will be determined at harvest.
