Brief Project Summary:

We intend to explore corn-soybean production systems that incorporate
sustainable practices for growing and managing crops across Nebraska. Our main objective is to provide baseline research and recommendations on cover crop establishment with soybean & corn systems for both irrigated and rain-fed conditions. We also intend to determine how to successfully establish cover crops, and if there are measureable benefits once the cover crop is established in terms of soil quality , crop
yield, and profit. We intend to assist NRCS staff and Nebraska farmers interested in better understanding how to develop sustainable approaches that support erosion control, soil health, diversified systems...
