1) leveraging precision agriculture technologies to establish, harvest and manage data;
2) building a professional learning network to enhance discovery dialogue and outreach;
3) establishing a collaboration among NSB, NCB, NCGA, private industry professionals and UNL Extension that will move Nebraska on-farm research to new horizons in the future;
4) developing a robust network of producer co-learners that will ultimately be excellent collaborators and partners in future endeavors; and
5) facilitate widespread dissemination of results using a spectrum of communication through both online networks and other venues.
Producers are hands-on, experiential learners. On-farm research serves as one of the highest levels of learning experiences in transformational learning. It is a process whereby cooperating producers and program partners are engaged year-round and over time in search of solutions, progress and synergies that move the agricultural industry forward.
