Project Deliverables

Results of this research and products produced from this project will (1) increase the overall value of Nebraska soybeans through research and development for improved compositional quality, (2)increase the average yield of Nebraska soybeans through a state-of-the art, comprehensive, and efficient soybean breeding program to increase yield per se, and through reducing yield losses from diseases and insects, and this project will (3) increase industrial demand for soybeans (high-protein soybeans, high oil soybeans, and modified fatty acid composition for specific industrial or food uses) that will provide improved processing efficiencies and/or opportunities for new products.
