Information And Results
Project Deliverables

Techniques development:
-Developing the aquaporin inhibitor (silver ion) technique to screen broad germplasm for drought tolerant trait.
-Identifying drought tolerant soybean varieties among 200 commercials and breeding lines MG III, IV, and V (parents and offspring during two years).
-Identifying the potential markers for the TRlim trait.

Utilizing new techniques:
-Introducing TN soybean varieties which expressed the TRlim, drought tolerant, trait to breeders.
-Developing research publications as well as extension: peer-reviewed publications are expected based on both phases’ results. The extension publication will be made available in-service training, field days or/and online.
-Additionally, results from this study will be presented to seed companies to introduce the commercial varieties which expressed the TRlim trait (drought tolerant).
-The results of this research will also be presented at a professional meeting (e.g., American Society of Agronomy, or American Society of Plant Biologist).

Final Project Results

Updated February 26, 2019:

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
