Brief Project Summary:

The purpose of this project is to prepare for a Principal Investigator planning workshop, to establish objectives for a new 3-year multistate grant proposal for submission in 2018. The Soybean Entomology Research Team in the North Central region has a track record of providing soybean producers with research-based information and outreach to help them manage insect pests, promote beneficial insects, and farm more profitably and sustainably. As the team prepares for a new application in the spring of 2018, they plan to solicit stakeholder feedback at extension events this summer, and coordinate among PIs at a meeting in November.

Key Benefactors:

Final Project Results

Updated February 21, 2019:
The purpose of this project was to prepare objectives for a new 3-year entomology multistate grant proposal for submission in 2018. The Soybean Entomology Research Team in the North Central Region has a long track record of providing soybean producers with research-based information and outreach. Past projects have been successful in large part because of careful advanced planning and coordination before the proposals were written, including obtaining stakeholder input on priorities and extensive communication among PIs in the planning stages of the project. In preparation for our planning workshop we solicited stakeholder feedback at extension events with plans to coordinate among PIs at a planning workshop in November 2017. The workshop was held as planned in November 2017. During the workshop we developed objectives to include in a new soybean entomology grant proposal to the NCSRP. This proposal was submitted in May 2018 and subsequently funded.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
