In kind support was provided by private industry by growing nearly 3,400 yield plots and supplying data in support of this project with an estimated value of approximately $68,000. Other breeders in the public sector grew nearly 700 plots for this project with an estimated value of approximately $14,000. In-kind contribution of the 14 PI and co-PIs whose salaries are not covered by USB is over $125,000. Administrative and physical plant support provided by the USDA-ARS and the eight universities involved in this project exceed $300,000.
