Brief Project Summary:

This is the third year of a 3 year project. We will conduct experiments according to original plan and details are in original proposal (see below).
Some changes. Dr. Carl Bradley, previous at University of Illinois, is moving to University of Kentucky and can no longer work for UI for third season. Because the 2014 season’s SDS weather led to field trials better than expected, we plan to spend more efforts this year on product delivery study so that the BCA will be suit for farm scale application. Dr. David Schisler, a USDA scientist in Peoria, Illinois is an expert in scale up the production of a bio-control agent will collaborate with us in this development. Dr. Jim Kurle of...

Project Deliverables

This funding request is for the third year of a three year project. According to original proposal and progress we have made in last two years, we are able to complete this project as planned. We should be able to deliverable follow
1) One prototype biological control product for commercial development
2) At least two bacterial based biological control agents which are candidates with high potential for further field trials.
3) Recommendation and data of current available biological control products on their efficacy to control SDS and white mold
