Brief Project Summary:

Soybean cyst nematode (SCN) is the most yield-reducing pathogen in the U.S. soybean production. Host resistance and crop rotation are the primary methods of minimizing SCN damage. The goal of this project is to identify soybean genes (genetic loci or QTLs) that contribute to SCN resistance.

One objective of this continuing project is to evaluate recombinant inbred lines (RILs) developed by researchers at Guelph University (Ontario), University of Illinois and University of Minnesota in an effort to map the loci that contributes to SCN resistance.
