The goal of this project is to address the concern that insect pests are causing increasing economic losses to the Virginia soybean crop.
The research group will continue to:
~ Assess pyrethroid resistance in corn earworm.
~ Evaluate corn ear worm thresholds in soybean.
~ Monitor corn earworm activity.
~ Evaluate new insecticides for stink bugs.
~ Monitor for soybean aphids and brown marmorated stink bugs.
~ Assess the value of insecticide seed and seedling treatments for soybeans.
