Project Deliverables

First batch of 50 germplasm lines were planted in the green house. Leaf and root tissue samples were collected from these lines.

50 seed of each line was grown in the green house and the plants were thinned to 24 plants and leaf tissue was collected from each of the 24 plants and pooled.

Good quality DNA has been extracted from these samples.

DNA samples were shipped to Perry Cregan lab for genotyping using 50K SNP array to determine PI line purity and homogeneity testing.

The reference genome line, “Lee” has been planted in the greenhouse. Samples will be collected for the DNA processing.

More germplasm lines are currently growing in the greenhouse for tissue collection and DNA extraction for sequencing work.

Bioinformatics group is analyzing the sequence data available from other research projects. These analyses help standardize the parameters on data quality, analysis pipeline, and result output.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
