Project Deliverables

Strategy 1
- Environmentally stable low sat soybeans to better compete with low sat oils such as canola.
- Palmitoleic acid accumulating soybeans with the associated additional value and new market opportunities.
- Soybean oil not needing hydrogenation and therefore free of trans-fatty acids.
- The higher oil/normal protein soybeans will be more valuable for traditional uses as well as for soy-diesel.
- Meal higher in protein and reduced in anti-nutritional components.

Strategy 2
- Development of rust resistant soybean cultivars to limit yield loss from this disease.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
