Brief Project Summary:

The project goal is to improve soybean cyst nematode (SCN) management in the North Central states. As part of this overall goal the team will establish on-farm plots in all states involved. The focus will be on large scale demonstration to provide information usable in all states, which will be merged for yearly updates and developing fact sheets. The project provides a forum for state Extension specialists to coordinate research and Extension educational activities.

In 2010, 31 field strip trials were established in 12 states and Ontario, Canada to test multiple varieties containing the major SCN resistance genes.
