This research project refines thresholds for three-cornered alfalfa hopper, which are needed to enable consultants and growers to apply insecticides when economically justified. It also establishes the guidelines needed to translate sweep net catches of the insect into reliable threshold estimates. It also evaluates efficacy and residual activity of insecticide seed treatments and foliar insecticides against three-cornered alfalfa hopper.
