Managing fertilizer inputs directly applied to soybean and other crops grown in rotation is crucial for keeping soybean profitable. Since fertilizer is typically applied to other crops grown in rotation, there are serious questions as to whether this practice or the rates being used are capable of keeping soybean profitability competitive.
