This regional level applied research and education project encompasses many field studies across southeast and southern Minnesota. It involves IPM specialists, regional educators and local extension from throughout this area of the state. The studies include specialized variety trials, weed control and resistance management trials, sulfur fertilization trials and studies to determine the impact of late season soybean aphid populations. Other studies will evaluate Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN) management strategies; and, methods to detect and manage the presence of SCN biotypes virulent on SCN resistant varieties.
