This project will investigate a number of nutrient management issues in soybeans. Objectives of this project include: 1. Assess the impact of various management strategies (Soygreen, cover crop, variety IDC tolerance) used alone or in combination on the severity of iron deficiency chlorosis and the economics of soybean production. 2. Assess the impacts of IDC management strategies on protein, oil and test weight of soybeans. 3. Determine the optimum timing, placement and fertilization rates of phosphorus and potassium necessary to optimize soybean yields grown in the rotation with corn. 4.
