Brief Project Summary:

The virulence level of SCN populations in Minnesota has increased dramatically in past years and about 71% of the SCN populations are able to reproduce on PI88788. Effectiveness of using resistant cultivars depends on the source of the resistance and HG type of SCN. Therefore it is important to determine the HG type in the field before selecting an appropriate SCN resistant cultivar for managing the nematode. The demand for HG testing and creating a better understanding of SCN population dynamics will increase in future years.

This project completes a number of objectives that were started last year and establishes a number of new objectives.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
