The primary goal of this project is to reduce the cost of producing soybeans. Fertilizer phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) prices have been rising. New technologies for P and K fertilization (variable rate application) have been developed, and new soybean varieties with greater disease, nematode and herbicide resistance are available, but the University of Kentucky's soil test-based P and K fertility recommendations for soybean have not been changed.
