This project was initiated in the spring of 2009 to evaluate the interactions between post emergence herbicide applications, severity of Rhizoctonia root and stem rot, and the application of seed-treatment fungicides. Field plots were established in both 2009 and 2010 to determine if the increased severity of Rhizoctonia root rot resulting from post emergence herbicides could be overcome by the application of seed treatment fungicides. The study includes evaluations of the effect of the herbicides Cobra, Pursuit, and Ultra-Blazer, and the fungicides Dynasty, Stamina, and Trilex on incidence and severity of Rhizoctonia rot.
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
