Over the past two years, soybean crops in Alabama have been surveyed for foliar disease incidence, plant viruses, and nematodes. The reniform nematode was distributed throughout the state and is the most common nematode parasite on soybean. Currently, the actual damage threshold of reniform on soybean is estimated based on yield losses in cotton. We do not know the effect of low, medium, high, and very high populations of the reniform nematode on soybean yields for Alabama.
