Brief Project Summary:

This research allows us to evaluate soybean cultivars suitable for Alabama growing conditions under producer practices and growing conditions. While Auburn University/AAES conducts soybean cultivar trials at several Experiment Stations, evaluation of selected cultivars in large blocks provides needed information under local soil and environmental conditions. and evaluate the use of treatments to control iron chlorosis on high pH Black Belt soils.

Due to the recent increase in soybean acres, as well as lack of information on rapidly changing varieties, many fields have suffered damage or abandonment from Fe deficiency. Foliar treatments after damage is observed to have been ineffective...
