Brief Project Summary:

Current P and K fertilizer recommendations for soybeans are based largely on data collected prior to GMO soybean varieties. Present conventional and GMO soybean yields are far greater than when original response data was collected. A two-year WSMB funded project along with other recent research suggests that response to P and K might be different in no till compared to chisel. Thus, there is some concern that the present P and K fertilizer recommendations may not be appropriate for modem high yielding soybean production systems.

Nutrient applications are often overlooked in soybean production as many growers apply nutrients to corn and let soybean feed off the residual fertility. However,...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
