Brief Project Summary:

The recent acquisition of new, state-of-the-art instrumentation has allowed us to rapidly and dramatically enhance our understanding of the full range of defense metabolites made by soybean. In the past year, many new metabolites, previously unknown to soybean, were discovered and have led to surprising new insights into the genes and defense pathways potentially involved in pest resistance. In the work proposed here, we wish to capitalize on this new knowledge and instrumentation to determine the key soybean metabolites that provide resistance to powdery mildew and the soybean aphid, two very important emerging soybean pests. Identification of the key defense metabolites should allow...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
