Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this project is to develop a high-resolution genetic map for the soybean cyst nematode (SCN). Whole genome sequence data was recently collected in a NCSRP funded project, where next generation DNA sequencing was used to collect vast amounts of sequence data to discover single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) between SCN inbred lines. While all this data is essential to allow genetic analysis of SCN, a high-resolution genetic map will organize all the fragments of the SCN genome into linkage groups/chromosomes. This will allow the expressed genes and SNPs to be mapped to a particular region of the genome and permit genetic map-based cloning of key nematode genes required for controlling...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
