Brief Project Summary:

New high oil genetic materials have been developed from hybridization with the high yielding variety. Those materials will require additional yield testing. High oil varieties need also to have acceptable protein content for protein meal production. The research team will measure yielding ability of soybean lines with oil higher than 19% oil at 13% moisture. The ultimate goal is to develop high yielding germplasm lines with high levels of oil and normal levels of protein.
