Research indicates that conducting education on the farm increases the rate of adoption of specific practices about which producers raise questions. In a Tactical Agriculture (TAg) program, integrated pest management (IPM) and integrated crop management (ICM) education is conducted on the participant's farm, in small learning groups, and involving hands-on learning experiences over the growing season. Since 2005, the NWNY Team has trained 84 TAg participants that manage 30,000 acres of soybeans.
