Using soybean varieties from prominent seed companies, the researchers will conduct a replicated field study to look at Sclerotinia sclerotiorum resistance in the different soybean varieties and its effect on soybean yield. Sclerotinia stem rot or "white mold" caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is a major soybean disease in north and central regions of the United States.
