Brief Project Summary:

A better understanding of the timing of adult soybean stem borers in south central Nebraska will be useful to target foliar insecticide applications for their control. Improved sampling procedures for these insects will allow producers and crop consultants to efficiently monitor their activity and abundance to target fields with the greatest need for control. A better understanding of their distribution in Nebraska on soybeans will help us target educational programs to soybean producers, and better understand their possible economic impact.
