Brief Project Summary:

This research builds knowledge about the effect of new herbicide technologies on herbicide-resistant weeds, and how these new technologies will affect the soil microbial population that is an integral and invaluable component of soil-plant interactions. The project aims to determine the efficacy of new 2,4-D and dicamba formulations alone and in combination with other herbicide modes-of-action on herbicide-resistant weeds. It also determines the impact of those herbicides and combinations on soil microbial populations involved in nutrient cycling.
