Brief Project Summary:

The researcher will identify conservation measures to use to reduce total amount of irrigation water applied to soybeans in the Delta in order to halt drawdown of the alluvial aquifer. Soybean varieties best suited for flood-irrigated environments will be identified. The goal of the project is to conserve water, lower irrigation costs and reduce associated energy usage.
