This project will complete the evaluation of a number of strategies for managing Iron Deficiency Chlorosis (IDC) using Soygreen, Cover crops and Variety IDC tolerance, alone or in combination, on the severity of IDC and the economics of soybean production. Several other objectives will evaluate the impact on soybean yields of direct versus residual Phosphorus applications; and, determine the optimum timing, placement and rate of Phosphorus and Potassium necessary to optimize yield and quality of soybeans that are grown in rotation with corn. In addition, the incline and decline rates of soil P and K tests as influenced by fertilizer rate and nutrient removal in the grain will be determined.
