Brief Project Summary:

The focus of this project is on improving soybean quality traits with regard to seed development and protein/oil levels. This will be done by conducting high-throughput next-generation sequencing of two well characterized parent lines, Minsoy and Noir1, in order to identify genes with previously identified eQTL towards dissection of seed protein and oil pathways. The project will also initiate functional characterization of candidate genes that regulate seed protein and oil.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
