Brief Project Summary:

This research project builds on the existing research funded by the Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware soybean checkoff boards and will apply the most innovative techniques of isotope tracing to identify and quantify different phosphorus sources. This project involved identifying the three major sources of phosphorus present in the Chesapeake Bay; those originating from land, mobilized phosphorus from bay sediments, and imported phosphorus from the ocean. This study will use the isotopic data generated to identify the relative roles of these sources.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
