Automatic section control technology has been adopted by some farmers over the past few years. However, recent research at Auburn University has shown that off-rate application can occur more frequently than expected when using this technology in conjunction with spray controllers. Additional research is needed to minimize off-rate application when using this technology. The research team will conduct lab and field experiments to better quantify off-rate application that could result from this technology and to document the benefits of auto section control as related to Alabama crop producers.
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
