Brief Project Summary:

Automatic section control technology has been adopted by some farmers over the past few years. However, recent research at Auburn University has shown that off-rate application can occur more frequently than expected when using this technology in conjunction with spray controllers. Additional research is needed to minimize off-rate application when using this technology.

The research team will conduct lab and field experiments to better quantify off-rate application that could result from this technology and to document the benefits of auto section control as related to Alabama crop producers.
