Brief Project Summary:

This funding will be used to establish soybean ?sentinel"" plots throughout Alabama for early detection of soybean rust and mapping movement of the diseases within the state. The plots will be scouted and abnormal tissue samples will be evaluated for rust. This is part of the USDA/ARS/ APHIS rust monitoring program.
