Brief Project Summary:

Although there have been reports of viral diseases on soybean in Louisiana, there has not been a comprehensive survey to determine what viruses are infecting soybeans. This project will identify the most common viruses infecting soybean and corn in Louisiana. Diagnostic tools will be developed for new viruses or new strains. This information will be made available to farmers, extension personnel and researchers through newsletters and technical publications.
