Biography
Dr. Wang is a Molecular Biologist/Nematologist at the USDA,ARS in Ithaca, NY. Her research program focuses on understanding the molecular basis of plant- nematode interactions with a specific emphasis on the interactions between potato cyst nematodes. She has worked extensively on the potato cyst nematode biology and management in NY and Idaho for over a decade and on SCN since its detection in NY state. She manages the nematode quarantine facility at USDA/Cornell University and has an active research program on mechanisms of resistance to both potato and soybean cyst nematodes.
