Education and Promotion
The South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council focuses on educating and promoting soybeans and soy uses to both consumers and producers. Because of research, many non-food uses have been found for soybeans, resulting in two positive outcomes: creating new markets for soybeans and displacing the use of petroleum-based ingredients or synthetic chemicals. Ultimately, this not only benefits the soybean producer, but also the environment. By educating and promoting the uses of soybeans to the consumer, the market for soybeans is also being built.
