Brief Project Summary:

The primary objective of this project is to conduct a comprehensive statistical analysis to examine which factors may be driving foliar fungicide response based on large-scale producer data. Key to this project are several assumptions and questions that developed from initial discussions with the “Benchmarking soybean production systems in the North-Central USA” project. Results will be communicated directly back to that team, as well as part of peer-reviewed scientific and extension publications. Researchers will collaborate with the benchmarking project team to provide information that can be incorporated into extension meetings for each state that participated in the original project.

Project Deliverables

October to May 2017: Conduct statistical analyses on the “Benchmarking soybean production systems in the North-Central USA” database, including all data and any newly collected data as part of that project.

May to July 2017: Develop summer field day materials related to results from initial statistical analyses for states that participated in the original project.

July to September 2017: Write up results for publication in refereed journal(s). Summarize results for winter meetings related to the use of foliar fungicides for soybean production in the main soybean production region of the United States.
